Meet “The Wine Intuitive”

In a past life, I was lucky enough to travel through some of the world’s most incredible wine regions—Okanagan, Sonoma, Napa, Italy, Chile. I didn’t realize it then, but those adventures were quietly shaping my palate and deepening my love for wine. I wasn’t chasing a career—it was simply something that brought me joy.

After years in the telecom industry, I found myself at a crossroads. I tried a few different paths before landing a job with a small wine distributor in Boise looking to break into the North Idaho market. I had no roadmap, just a passion for wine and a strong work ethic.

Early on, I worked with a Scottish winemaker from Spokane who shared his knowledge freely. I asked him what it would take to succeed in wine sales. His advice stuck with me: You don’t have to know everything—just listen to your customers. Be honest. If you don’t know something, say so and go find the answer. That simple philosophy became the heart of how I worked. I listened, learned, and started to understand people’s palates. Over time, I got good at bringing customers wines I knew they’d love.

I’d always felt Sandpoint needed a wine club that was more personal and more adventurous. After years of selling throughout North Idaho—working with dozens of distributors and covering everywhere from Lewiston to Bonners Ferry—I launched a club built around what I always wanted to offer: a monthly wine journey designed to awaken the senses and introduce people to wines they didn’t expect to love.

Today, that passion has grown into something more: a wine shop, curated tastings, travel experiences, and new ways to gather and explore—always rooted in the belief that great wine is about discovery, connection, and joy.
