The 2017 Château Rombeau 'Pierre de La Fabrègue' is a wondeful showing in this vintage, It opens to inviting aromas of ripe blackberries and dark cherries followed by spices, white pepper, olives, dark chocolate shavings and even hints of violets all taking shape. The palate is full-bodied supported by soft, round tannins that are well integrated making for a wonderful mouthfeel. It goes on to display nice overall balance of fruit and acidity all the way the long finish. This is already drinking fantastic and should also offer a drinking window that spans close to a decade.
